The Rate Determining Step
This morning I was sitting in chemistry, completely baffled. This material has been so tough, but my professor began to draw a roof, gutter and rain. He then proceeded to teach us about rate constants in a reaction and called one of the factors the ‘rate determining step’.
He then continued to say …
You’re only as fast as your slowest step
He got me thinking about my path in college! Credit wise, I am a senior, but I have been in school for 3 years and somehow I still have 2 years left! It got me thinking that I will have done 5 years of college!! 5 years?! What the heck!! It seems so crazy long but in reality, its zoomed by! I am about to finish my third year and I don’t even remember all that I have learned!
People will tell you to hurry up, you are wasting money. You’ll scroll through Instagram and feel like you are 12 years behind, but TBH you are right where you need to be! GO fast, go slow, take your time, fall in love, fail a little, study hard, cry tons, get hurt, get back up, and then graduate! Thats lesson #23!
Take your time! Enjoy the ride!
Life will fly by before you know it! If your slowest step in your bachelors degree, then you are fast! If five years is fast, then you go! Whatever you do, however long it takes, just kick butt!
