Day 40

Change

With all that has happened with the social media and the outbreak it has caused and in preparation to stop massive spread, my university has decided to move to online instruction.

However difficult this will prove to be, I know that it is in the interest of all. But man, oh man, you try learning human physiology over the computer! Not a fan!

That is lesson #40!

With change, comes confusion, but with patience, comes peace

With all this change, there will be peace that comes and a calm after this storm. Until then! Lets go Spring Breaking!!! BRB in a week!

Day 39

Spring Break Prep!

Well, next week is finally spring break and I am blowing this popsicle stand, so here are some tips!

1: If you can, get far away from campus, take some time off, and go somewhere else, even if its just for two days!

2: Take someone with you! Take your bestie, or your roommate, or someone!

3: Pack loads of snacks!

4: Pick a restaurant you want to go to on your trip and splurge a little!

5: Don’t even think about touching your homework!

That is lesson #39! Just enjoy Spring Break, because after you graduate, there are no spring breaks!

Day 38

Walks & Coconut Cream

Wednesdays are nightmares for me, because they are so crazy long! I am in class from 9AM until 4PM… and by the end of it, my brain is mush!

However, sometimes, if I am lucky, my last class will get out extra early! Well lucky me, I got out 2 hours early this week!

The weather was sunny and I went and met my sweet husband at our favorite walking path, but of course we were going to need some good refreshments!

I think an important aspect in college is making sure you have an outlet! Whether that’s taking a walk, going for a run, watching Netflix, it doesn’t matter! Just make sure you have a good outlet! That is lesson #38!

Find an outlet to breathe!

For me its quality time and a good stroll in the sun with some Dr.Pepper and coconut cream, but whatever it may be…find it, do it, relax!

Day 37

Take a Seat!

One of my favorite resources I have come to love is the library! It is the perfect place to focus and study! There is no pressure to be perfect, there is no pressure to achieve! It is just a place relax and study and learn!

I love my library because it is a place for all learning types! It has loud areas and quiet ones too! It has computers and single desks! It is the perfect place to be!

I used to go to socialize mostly, but now I truly understand the power of being in a quiet place that allows you to just focus! That is lesson #37!

Wherever it is, find your place!

No matter where it be, find a place where you can be peaceful, calm, relaxed, and focused! This will allow you the best place to grow, develop, and study hard!

Day 36

Why Do They Hate US?

Its the week before Spring Break and I SWEAR my professors hate me! They assign so much JUNK before the week of peace and then they have the courage to assign more work over Spring Break

Like do you really wanna grade it all?! Ugh, anyway! This week is a one LOADED with work! I am hoping for a miracle! That is lesson #36!

Kick butt before they kick you!

Work hard and then it will all be a week of a whole lot of fun!

Day 35

Yum, yum, yummy!!

No, no, its not about the Justin Bieber song, although thats a bop too!

BUT, in college, food is so important! What you fuel your body with, is what you fuel your mind with and without good food, your brain suffers!

It is so important to eat a good breakfast! Even if you need to find a super yummy breakfast drink and a snack, its so important that you EAT! Make sure you pack your day full of snacks and full meals!

Remain hydrated and full! That is lesson #35!

Feed your mind!

It is sooooooo important that you need to eat! Eat the right food! Avoid soda and a lot of candy! Fuel your mind!

Day 33

Work Hard, Play Hard

100% work = 100% play! If you don’t take a break after you work hard, you will break. Remind yourself that its okay to breathe! Remind yourself its okay to just be you!

Keeping up back to back, 50 days in a row is tough! I have had to take a break and breathe! I have had to maintain sanity in all my other classes. My semester this year hasn’t been easy, but I have been trying to learn balance! Thats lesson #33!

Remember to breathe & find balance!

Day 32

Vote! Vote! Vote!

Something that I have come to learn is super important is voting! Especially when you are in college! If you don’t like something, become educated about and then vote towards changing it!

Whether its America or for your college, take a stand!

It is so important that if you have an opinion, even if its what you feel is small, make sure it is heard! The most important way to be heard is through your votes.

Don’t listen to the gossipers and rumors on the internet, find your own opinion, find the hard facts, find the truth, and then make a decision. Make that decision and cast a vote that supports it! Without voting, you can’t complain!

If you want change, make it happen! That is lesson #32!

Let your voice be heard! Cast your vote!

Dont miss an opportunity to speak!

Day 31

Mental Health

Let me say this loud and clear! Mental health is just as important, if not more important than physical health!

If you’re struggling, its okay to get help! Its okay to take a mental health day! Its okay!

No one in this world escapes mental health. Everyone at some point will face emotions, triggers, feelings, and hardships. With that in mind, remember you are not alone, you are not facing this all by yourself! Everyone at some point has felt what you are feeling!

So skip school, eat ice cream, watch your favorite movies, and snuggle up with the ones you love the most! Thats lesson #31

Its okay to not be okay!

If you struggle with anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, or anything in between, seek the help you need and then push forward! Peace will come and so will healing!
